Yield Farming

PonytaSwap's Yield Farming is an effective way to earn rewards. To receive LP tokens, you will have to stake two tokens, which can then be staked in the Farm for further rewards. This allows you to earn rewards while still holding a position in your other tokens.

Reward Calculations

Staking LP tokens in the farming pool allows you to earn RPG and LP rewards. Yield Farm APR calculations take into account both:

LP rewards APR earned by providing liquidity
Farm base rewards APR earned by staking LP tokens in the Farm

Please note that Yield Farming offers better rewards but comes with the risk of impermanent loss.

How to Use Farm

Getting Prepared

Setting up Yield Farming in PonytaSwap is easy!

First, you’re going to need some LP tokens to enter into a Farm. Farms can only accept their own exact LP tokens. For example, the RPG-HEROES Farm will only accept RPG-HEROES LP tokens. You will need to provide liquidity for that trading pair to get the exact LP tokens. Therefore, to get RPG-HEROES LP tokens, you will have to provide liquidity for the RPG-HEROES pair.

Trust us, it's not as difficult as it appears! To begin, follow the steps outlined below.

Finding your Farm

The first step is to choose a Farm that's right for you.

Go to the Farms page and you’ll see a list of available Farms.
You can search for a particular Farm by using the Search option.
Note down the trading pair of the Farm you want to use, such as RPG-HEROES, in case you need it later.

Providing liquidity to get LP tokens

Once you've found a Farm to stake in, you'll need to add liquidity to receive your LP tokens.

Select the row of the Farm you've chosen. It will open to show more details.

You'll find some links on the left. Click the Get (your pair) LP link to obtain your LP tokens.

Start Staking in Farms

Once you've obtained your LP tokens, you can stake them in a Farm and start to earn rewards!

Putting your LP tokens into the Farm

Go back to the Farms page and locate your Farm. Click on the row showing your pair. It will expand to show more details. When you’re ready, click the Enable button and confirm your action in your wallet.
After a short wait, the Enable button will change to Stake LP. Click and a new window will appear.
Enter the amount of LP tokens you would like to farm, or simply click Max to use all of your LP tokens.
Confirm button will becomes active when you have entered the amount. Click and confirm your action in your wallet.
You will see your new staked LP token balance in the details after a short wait.

Please Note: Cross-chain transactions take longer to confirm when farming on a blockchain other than Rangers Mainnet.

Adding/Removing LP tokens from Farms

You can add more LP tokens to a Farm or take some out whenever you want.

Return to the Farms page.
Find the Farm you have LP tokens in, and click the row to view details and to remove or add LP tokens.
A window will pop up, in which you can enter the amount you would like to unstake/stake. You can also click Max to remove/add all available LP tokens.
Check to make sure all your information is correct. Then click the Confirm button to confirm the action in your wallet.
Your new balance will be updated shortly.

Please Note: If you have unstaked your LP tokens, any unharvested rewards will be collected automatically.

Collecting Your Farming Rewards

Farming will earn you RPG rewards over time. You can collect these rewards and use them to get more LP tokens.

Returning to your Farm to Harvest

You can easily harvest farm rewards! Here's how:

Return to the Farms page.
View details of the Farm in which you staked your LP tokens. Under RPG earned, you should see an estimation of your rewards.
Click Harvest and confirm the action in your wallet.
Your wallet will be credited with the RPG after a short wait.

How often should I harvest my rewards?

The rewards can be harvested as often as you like, but keep in mind that there is a small fee involved.

You can view this fee in your wallet when confirming after clicking Harvest. Note that there will be slight variations in how the information is displayed between different wallets.

We recommend leaving your rewards to grow for a while so you won't have to pay fees as often!
